Turned out to be staying close to home because of the snow and revelling in the fact that our paperwork was SIGNED and is on it's way to the States! It feels great to done with the courts - the relief is amazing. There are 4 families on their way to India as we speak to pick up their children and we couldn't be happier for them. We are also excited because that means we get some more photos soon : )Valentine's Venue of Choice . . .
The next step is that Jaya's passport is applied for in India, at the same time that is happening our paperwork has an inter-state clearance to go through which should only take 3 weeks. Right now we are tentatively planning travel for late March (Wow- that sounds good!). Jaya turns 1 on April 22nd and we are thrilled that we will have her in our arms and family before then. God is so good and faithful, He knows the right time for everything.
There are 3 families that are STILL in the court process waiting for approval, please continue to pray for them. It is a frustrating time, one that's hard to understand and that you have no control over. The courts are closed for yet another holiday (do they EVER work?) for the rest of the week so they won't hear anything until next week at the earliest.
Well I am off to search the internet for flights and hotels . . . finally, we get to PLAN something.
